Thermal performance of nanofluid saturated porous medium on cooling electronics contained in an inclined hemispherical enclosure
A. Baïri and N. Laraqi

A nanofluid saturated porous medium is used for cooling purposes of a plane electronic device contained in the base of a hemispherical cavity. According to the intended application in embarked electronics, the base could be tilted with respect to the horizontal plane by an angle ranging from 0 deg to 180 deg (horizontal disc with cupola facing upwards and downwards, respectively). The volume fraction of the considered monophasic water-based ZnO nanofluid varies between 0% (pure water) and 10% ...

Research on the exponential growth effect on network topology: Theoretical and empirical analysis
Shouwei Li and Zongjun You

Integrated circuit (IC) industry network has been built in Yangtze River Delta with the constant expansion of IC industry. The IC industry network grows exponentially with the establishment of new companies and the establishment of contacts with old firms. Based on preferential attachment and exponential growth, the paper presents the analytical results in which the vertices degree of scale-free network follows power-law distribution...

Numerical simulation of flow over a square cylinder with upstream and downstream circular bar using lattice Boltzmann method
Yuan Ma, Rasul Mohebbi, M. M. Rashidi, and Zhigang Yang

A numerical investigation is carried out to analyze the flow patterns, drag and lift coefficients, and vortex shedding around a square cylinder using a control circular bar upstream and downstream. Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) was used to investigate flow over a square cylinder controlled by upstream and downstream circular bar, which is the main novelty of this study. Compared with those available results in the literature, the code for flow over a single square cylinder proves valid. The Reynolds number (Re) based on the width of the square cylinder (D) and diameter of circular bar (d) are 100 for square cylinder, 30 and 50 for different circular bars...
