"This book on DAOs is written by two authorities in the field. It is especially pertinent for individuals in financial services seeking to understand the radical differences between DAOs and traditional hierarchical business models, and the opportunities and risks they entail."

Stephen Barnham

"To Dao or not to Dao? This deep dive will answer your questions on what are DAOs and why they matter for the future of finance!"

Ronit Ghose
Global Head, Future of Finance, Citi

"This book is a great combination of scientifically derived research, practical comments, and anecdotes from the blockchain industry. Especially in the second chapter 'Blockchains: The Operating Systems of DAOs', the authors elaborate on the functionalities of a blockchain and its limitations such as the Blockchain Trilemma and explain why the blockchain can and has to be considered as the backbone of a DAO. The entire book is a great read for practitioners, researchers, and also people who want to get started with the topic."

Dr Bernhard Kronfellner
Partner & AD at the Boston Consulting Group
