Dr Zhu Xiaoming is Professor of Management at CEIBS, where he served as President from June 2006 to March 2015. Dr Zhu graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a doctoral degree in engineering.
As an expert enjoying the State Council's special subsidy, he is also adjunct professor and PhD supervisor in the College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, adjunct professor and PhD supervisor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, adjunct professor at Shanghai International Studies University, PhD supervisor for the China UnionPay postdoctoral programme, and member of IAM (International Academy of Management).
Dr Zhu is Director of Shanghai Research Institute of Digitalization and Internet Finance at CEIBS. He also assumed the positions of Vice Chairman of the China Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and Director of the Shanghai Evaluation Committee of International Business Professionals.
The major honours awarded to Dr Zhu include the 2nd Prize for "Science and Technology Advancement in Shanghai" in 1995, the 1st Prize for "Shanghai Policy-making Consultation" in 2004 and Distinguished Award of the International Academy of Management in 2008. Dr Zhu has published substantial amounts of research on economics and technology, including the Shanghai Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Series, the Mathematical Model Study of Economic and Management Cases, the Report on China's Outsourcing Development (2007-2011), the 2010 Report on Development of China's Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation, and Report on China' Third Party Platform E-payment Sector, E-payment Revolution, the Chinese translation of Mastering the Hype Cycle, and 10 Mega Business Trends in the Digital Age.
Dr Pedro Nueno is the European President and Professor of Entrepreneurship at CEIBS. He has been a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Academic Council of CEIBS ever since 1994. Dr Nueno is Bertran Foundation Chair for Entrepreneurial Management at IESE, Spain. He has taught at different universities, such as Harvard University and Michigan University and has been a frequent speaker at numerous international conferences. He is the current Vice-Chancellor (2000–present) and the past Chancellor (1993–2000) of the International Academy of Management. He has been a consultant for international institutions and corporations (World Bank, OECD, Ford, Morgan Stanley). He serves on the board of several companies. In the academic area, Dr Nueno has been a member of the Advisory Board of many business schools: IESE (Spain), IAE (Argentina), IPADE (Mexico), IIST (Spain), AESE (Portugal), Nyenrode (The Netherlands).
Dr Nueno received his Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard University. His research interests are Entrepreneurship, Management of privatisation and turnaround processes, Industrial alliances, joint-ventures and acquisitions, Management of technology and innovation, and Internationalisation processes. He is the author of ten books: Corporate Turnaround (published in the USA, France, The Netherlands and Spain); The Light and the Shadow (UK, Spain, Germany and China); Entrepeneuring, etc.
To recognise Dr Pedro Nueno's outstanding contributions to business education in China, the Shanghai municipal government awarded him the "Golden Magnolia Award " on September 29, 2007. Also, he received the "China Friendship Award" from PRC State Council on September 29, 2009. His dedication to business was also recognised by the Government of Spain, with the Order of Civil Excellence, and the Government of Catalonia with the Saint Jordi Cross.
